01 How much is the deposit?

A non-refundable 30% of the total secures your dates. It lets us reserve permits, flights and specialised guides, often months ahead.

02 When is the balance due, and what if I cancel?

Balance due dates and cancellation charges are set out in our Terms & Conditions, and confirmed in writing when you book.

03 How can I pay?

Bank transfer or major credit card. Any processing fees are stated before you pay.

04 Do I need travel insurance?

Yes. Given how remote the valley is, cover for cancellation, interruption, medical emergencies and evacuation is essential.

05 Why is a Baliem trip expensive?

Logistics. Supplies are often flown in, raising costs by roughly 30% compared with urban areas, and permits, flights and guides are booked well in advance.
